  2. New s15 clutch fan hub.

Hey guys didn't want start a new topic for this because its kind of related. What causes the clutch fan hub to kick in early mine seems to engage early with just normal street driving outside temps around 25-30. Bad clutch fan hub? Thanks
  3. Used a turbotech for about 4-5 yrs. Just recently went to ebc (gfb gforce) totally different ball game. Both are reliable but ebc allows you to sets gains and sensitivity way more advanced in controlling boost levels. I highly recommend going to ebc.
  4. Mine has been connected like this for 6 yrs never had any problems at all. Just recently connected that line to a electronic boost controller and still no issues.
  5. Now I know why mine tried to get stolen. Dirty rats
  6. Stolen S15

On the same topic, Some dirty rat tried to steal my car today from essendon station luckily the immobiliser kicked in and saved it from starting and driven off. They broke the door lock, Plastic steering column and pretty much screwed the barrel. Freakin dirty as hell. Thought that area was safe till now.
  7. Fuel gauge problem

Thanks will try this. Parked on dead flat surface.
  8. Hi guys, Car is 180sx type x 96 model sr20det One morning went to car gauge was showing full tank when only half tank of petrol inside. Drove it around the level came back down to normal. A few days later after filling up the gauge keeps going up and down. Every morning the gauge would show more than what's in the tank till I start driving then gauge would come back down. I've searched around and others have said that the resistor in the sending unit can be the problem. So I pulled out the fuel pump assembly and the float seems fine have not tested resistance though which I will do soon. Would this be a gauge issue or more likely the fuel gauge sending unit ? Cheers
  9. Well this is weird usually the knock sensor stops working at high RPMS. I currently have a knock sensor fault and my car works fine in the higher rpms.
  10. Custom FMIC piping in-bay

But if anything the front mount will make the crumple zone better, as it will take some of the load. more time = less impact
  11. 180SX ,still problematic

Before removing just check with multi meter find any ground in engine bay and other just contact the right pin on the knock sensor harness should read in resistance .56 k ohms at all times.
  12. 180SX ,still problematic

Thats normal the knock sensor on the block is earthed out so the 1 wire coming from knock sensor is the resistance which cuts the voltage back down to 2.5v. From the other harness coming from the ecu one wire would be your earth and the other the constant 4.8v that ecu provides to knock sensor. Would a wrenching spanner work with getting to the bolt ? Its a 12mm bolt ? I've jacked the car up once before and yer it looks impossible.
  13. 180SX ,still problematic

I've done a few hours of research about knock sensors and have conducted many tests using multi meter and resistors etc lol I can safely say the 1 mega ohm works perfectly as I have tested this on my own car. I also have 570k ohm this will also work as the resistance of the knock sensor itself measured is around 570k ohm Lastly I think its going to be a ass of a job trying to get to the knock sensor ill be trying in 2 weeks see how it goes.

Why would it be illegal if you have an airbag ? This is the first im hearing this, where does it state this ?
