looking at picking up a cheap 200 model wrx and it has a munched 2gear in the box

any idea what that might be wirth to fix or replace the whole box?

i guess you also gotta ask yourself what caused the box to break? some nice 7k launches maybe.....

Don't try to fix the box, replace with another one. Everywhere I got quoted a lot more than a 2nd hand box. If you're looking to drive hard, i'd suggest a late model STI box. If you're just looking to drive around with the odd excitable driving, standard box should be fine.

i put ra sti internals inside my box cost 1 grand installed.
lot cheaper than a second hand box which could have been thrashed and about to break anyway.
really depends on what you want to do.
